Slim fast? more like slim slow....

I've decided to try to diet. I had the idea to combine two diets. First, I'm incorporating the fourteen day slim fast challenge. A shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch and a sensible dinner. However, I know I will get bored with the slim fast so, I've decided to also try Dr Oz. "Diet soup."  It's basically vegetable soup with cabbage, zucchini, carrots, green beans, garlic, stewed tomato, onion and spinach. I found it to be really tasty and  to avoid boredom I plan to mix different things into it for flavor. Like salsa, soy sauce, hot sauce, onion soup mix. etc.  its also really good base to toss some chicken in for protein. The recipe link is posted at the bottom of the page.

I kind of fell off the wagon already on day two by eating a cookie or two...oops. I'm not a believer in taking a full dive into diet. that can be hard and I think many, as I have done before, will fail. So what if i have a little something as long as my goal is to eventually just eat less and healthy. My goal is not just weight loss but to gain healthy eating habits to live a long healthy life.

I left it there. Figured my husband or mother in law may have ordered something and would drag it in. A week goes by and the package is still there.  Finally I asked my husband to bring the box inside and see who it was for. I couldn't check the side of the box apparently....ding dong moment! Come to find out the box IS for me. I opened it to find a whole slew of packing peanuts!  My kid...
